Information:
A total lunar eclipse will be visible across Australia. This will be the longest total eclipse of the
century! It will also be the last chance to see a good total lunar
eclipse from Australia till 2011.
FACTS:
- The moon passes almost dead center with the earths shadow
- Longest lunar eclipse since August 13th 1859
- Longest lunar eclipse till sometime after the year 3000

Moon enters totality - 21:02
Middle of Eclipse - 21:56

Observation:
Had a big project at work that went live at 4am that morning... so I was very tired come the evening. I observed the eclipse from
my backyard with my 80mm refractor. The eclipse was quite impressive, however the clouds kept getting in the way :(
