A clearing near the farmhouse where I did some observing in the evening.

The same clearing looking down towards the machine sheds.
|
a pass of the Mir Space Station with Jupiter in the frame. This was about a 5 second exposure about 45 minutes after sunset.

Closeup of the previous picture. It was actually quite dark when I took this.
|
These two pictures were taken on the first morning. I observed from this area because it was on a slight hill and
had a good view of the horizon in all directions. This picture is looking towards the north. There are a couple of farms
about 10kms away which you can see in the evening.
|
Looking towards the eastern horizon. There is a huge salt lake once the farm finishes. A couple of farm lights can be seen
way off in the distance at night.

Sunset over the wheat fields.

The new cresent moon can be seen just above and to the left of the clouds. This picture was taken at the observing spot near the farmhouse.
|
Same location later in the evening. The cresent moon setting between the water tank and the power lines running down the
driveway. The lights are from another road about 10-15 kms away. I set this shot up and then went inside for about an hour
because it was too windy to setup my telescope... I think the photo turned out very well.

Star trail showing Orion and Taurus. These pictures were taken during the maximum of the Orionid meteor shower so I was
hoping to catch some meteors on film.
|
I have labelled the previous photo with the major stars.
|
Orion and Taurus rising in the East.
