Mundaring Weir is around 40kms east of Perth in the hills of the Darling Ranges. The Dam was built by C.Y. O'Connor. A pipeline was built out to Kalgoorlie during the goldrush to carry water there. Mundaring Weir has a pleasant picnic area and several walk trails.
